About 

Dr. Jessica Brown is a poet, novelist, creative writing teacher, narrative practicioner, and public humanities researcher. She facilitates creative and reflective workshops in all kinds of settings, like music festivals, prisons, primary schools, day care centres, university classrooms, retreats, and medical conferences. She is passionate about helping people find their voice and expression.

Beautifully illustrated by the artist Laura Cantu Smith, Jessica’s book Hello, Goodbye: A Poetry Cycle for Children came out in October 2023. Her poetry collection And Say was launched in 2019 with the Limerick-based Revival Press, and her children's novel The River Boy was released in 2016 with her indie-press Finch and Fellow. Her work has appeared in several print and online publications. 

Jessica worked an editor at the online platform Culturico and for the United Nations. She is also on the Governing Council of Thousand Hills International University in Musanze, Rwanda.

Her education includes a PhD in Creative Writing from University of Limerick, an MFA in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University, an MA in English from Boston College, and a BA from Anderson University.

She is available for creative writing teaching/workshops and creative editorial help, editing gigs, and any courses to do with poetry, prayer, narrative, and storytelling, as well as practical research in ecological humanities as well as medical and health humanities.
