I'm so glad you've found this site.

Writing has been a part of my life since I was a young girl. The sound of words, the world of ideas, the arc of a character: these things have always fascinated me.

Decades later . . . and so many rejections . . . here I am, still writing away, finding courage, getting scared, looking for new discourses, leaning into the wild edges of poetic meaning, and trying to trust the silences.

These days, with my husband and son, I live in East Clare in the west of Ireland. I continue to submit my work, short and long, in the slow (and painful and exciting) rhythm of acceptance and rejection. I am so very excited about The Grace to Be Human, a spiritual writing/memoir that’s coming out this year.

Please peruse the content presented here. May you be blessed, encouraged, and entertained.

And fellow creators: I know it’s tough out there. As I grow older, I grow more amazed at the raw and tenacious courage an artist must have to keep showing up. My prayer for you is that you continue to show up, and that when you do, falsehoods drop and the rich wild voice of who you are rises.

With love and care,

Finch and Fellow Publishing Home is the indie-press I opened in the summer of 2016. The aim is to put words into the world that bring life, cheer, beauty, thought, grace, courage, and honesty. So far, it is in its infancy (no requests for manuscripts yet), but . . . watch this space.
